- Summary: Cloud in a Bottle is an Ubuntu machine with a web server that routes HTTPS to rootless hardened containers, adds single sign-on across every app on the instance, and exposes an interface for permissioned data and capability access between apps. The project states its design difference from Coolify is that integration surface, and from YunoHost the container sandbox, since YunoHost apps run directly on the host. Imbue built it over six months and released it under AGPL-3.0 with zero telemetry, alongside a paid managed version running the same code.
- Why it matters: Self-hosting stacks usually stop at deployment, and this one carries identity and inter-app permissions as platform concerns rather than leaving each app to solve them.
