Summary: Asahi Linux merged M3 support into its installer and declares the M3 series officially supported. Installation is gated behind the installer's Expert mode via EXPERT=1, a requirement the project aims to drop in time for the Fedora Linux 45 beta. M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max MacBooks and iMacs are covered, and the Mac Studio with M3 Ultra is not yet supported.
Why it matters: The GPU and full DCP support are still missing, so sleep does not work, the HDMI port on equipped MacBooks is disabled, and 3D acceleration is neither performant nor power efficient.
