Summary: Starting about 14:44 UTC on 2026-07-23, customers saw intermittent connectivity failures, increased latency, and difficulty reaching Azure and other Microsoft cloud services associated with the West US region. Microsoft identified an issue in the West US network infrastructure, so traffic traversing that region also saw downstream impact. Microsoft rolled back a recent network change strongly correlated with the failure, and telemetry showed recovery by about 18:47 UTC.
